I haven’t figured out how to embed the video so I’m including the link. Tonetalks breaks it down as usual. I believe this qualifies as a scam. Akon is trying to convince us that we need to spend the little money we have to travel to his imaginary Wakanda in Senegal. It doesn’t make sense and no one is interested.

I see it as a blessing because it is opening up our peoples eyes of other possibilities. I read your original post but It didn’t post to here. I shared some of my thoughts in a post in the awakening forum called” Hebrews, Stockholm syndrome and America”. I do not know Akon’s motives, I am only grateful this is being spread through the black community via social media platforms and a seed is being planted.
My opinions are based on the Bible. America is Babylon and it’s going to be destroyed as the Bible says. By the spirit you can discern it’s falling apart right now as we speak. It doesn’t seem helpful to fight for rights ( the fight has been going on 60+ something years now since civil rights movement) in a country that God is intent on destroying and will be destroyed. America was another captivity just like Egypt,Assyria and Ancient Babylon were captivity’s. I understand the concept of American Pride but I don’t understand why black people in particular have it. Your proud of a country that treats you so bad? Because you were born here? Because other immigrants highly esteem it? We’re not from here neither is this place for us. We’ve bought into a patriotism that only applies to white people. And they remind you of that every single day. Every single shooting. Every single black body laying on a pavement dead.
Furthermore, if we’re going by the word of God why are we even trying to be apart of this American system. It’s Babylon. The Lord said “And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6 Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her.”
Is fighting for rights in America and holding onto America really in agreement with Gods word?
We as a people will never find true freedom until we stop rebelling against God and going our own way. Nowhere in the Bible does God say build in Babylon and fight for your rights to stay in Babylon. I wonder why our forefathers didn’t fight for their rights to stay Egypt? That generation that left were born there too. Why did God bring them out of Egypt when he could’ve just elevated their status from slaves to normal citizens? Because God had a plan and had a land for his people. And it’s the same thing today. America is just a captivity and like all the other captivities God has promised and will bring us out of America because the 400 year curse that landed us here in the first place is over. This is a place of affliction and bondage not our forever home, not our home. That is why we are mistreated even though we’ve been here 400 years. This is why we are still fighting for freedom 60 years after the civil rights movement. The oppressors know something we’ve failed to understand. And as a stiff necked people it seems we’ll continue trying to fit a square peg in a round hole until we fully wake up and understand.
Yes our ancestors build this country up from the ground, yes the wealth of America was made off our ancestors back. God knows this and he himself will repay, and do what they failed to do with reparations.
Then the LORD said to him, “Know for certain that for four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved and mistreated there. But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions”
This country is not our own and God is going to bring us out with great wealth. Knowing these things we wait on the Lord and put our trust in him.
Also reason why I mention Africa is because I know a lot of our people are there and in my opinion the land God has for us is somewhere there.

I appreciate your reply and I respectfully disagree with your point of view. Maybe I missed it, but I still don’t see what exactly you believe this is opening our eyes to. Other possibilities? Possibilities of what? Do you really think Black Americans are so ignorant that they don’t already know they can visit other countries or relocate abroad as they choose? It’s insulting. I think it is important to identify what type of seed is being planted at any given time. All seeds are not good, and some should not be planted at all (like the ones being shipped from China). Akon City, which is to be operated solely on “Akoin crypto-currency” and largely funded by undisclosed Chinese investors to make money for them is not a good seed. The scriptures say that you will know a tree by the fruit it bears; did I miss the good fruit that Akon has been producing? Anyone who’s busy flossing it up with the likes of Tekashi69 while trying to tell my people we need to “go back to Africa” and invest our hard earned American dollars in a venture to line his pockets can wither away. Akon owes us respect and gratitude because we made him possible. What he will not do is come here and act like we need him to teach us something about freedom or unity. Pan Africanism is nothing if it isn’t a two-way street and all of Africa is not Israel. Motives matter and I have yet to hear Akon mention so much as a jot or tittle of the law, of abstaining from sin, of turning to The Most High Yah or the true identity of our people. Helping him build a little city to bring American, European, and Chinese wealth to Senegal is something I could not care less about.
I’ll have to go through some more of the post in The Awakening and comment there, but I don’t think your reference to Stockholm syndrome applies at all to my outlook. I have zero sympathy for the oppressor. I do not have any compassion or tolerance for white supremacy which is a global problem not one that only exists in America. Who said anything about American pride? I haven’t bought into anything. I am proud of my people, of all the accomplishments we’ve made in this country despite all the adversities we face. I am proud of my ancestors who fought, bled and died on this soil. I am proud of the advances we have made here which allowed for immigrants from African countries to come here and be successful when they couldn’t do it in their own country. Isn’t all of this based on our lineage and the promises made to us by TMH? Do you think the last 400 years of our oppression and the blood, sweat and tears or our people that watered the soil we reside on should just be ignored? That we should tuck our tail between our legs and flee? I recognize that this fight isn’t for everyone but I’m here for it. You give the impression that nothing has been accomplished by the Civil Rights movement; the fight has evolved and continues but there have been great strides made along the way. I am not holding on to America, I am demanding righteous retribution and the riches that we are entitled to. Fighting to stay here?? They never offered us a trip out. Nobody is fighting for the right to stay here unless they do not belong here to begin with. If you were born here you automatically have the right to stay here, leave and return if you wish, which is another benefit provided by the fight of our ancestors. You asked, “Why did God bring them out of Egypt when he could’ve just elevated their status from slaves to normal citizens? You hypothesize that, “God had a plan and a land for his people.” So, I ask you, “Why did God elevate our status in America from slaves to citizens?” Maybe because his plan was not for us to leave yet? Maybe because he knew we would be stuck here? Just like God had a plan for them he has one for us.
You are right that the Word says, …God has remembered her iniquities (Revelations 18:5). The Most High does not forget and neither will I. I believe the scriptures you reference for Babylon are about coming out of Eurocentric Christianity, turning to The Most High Yah and turning away from our sin. My salvation is not predicated on a pilgrimage to Africa. If TMH decides to destroy Babylon we will be delivered before that destruction.
“But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves and Afterward they will come out with great possessions. (Genesis 15:14)” The punishment is not complete, and I have not received my great possessions. It does not say they will leave and then I will punish the nation and give them great possessions.
Since you mentioned Egypt, I think it is important to highlight the fact the TMH brought them all out of Egypt. The Israelites did not start moving away one family at a time searching for the promised land on their own because someone sparked the idea. TMH will deliver us, we do not deliver ourselves. As I mentioned in my previous reply, millions of Israelites in America cannot leave if they wanted to. Do you believe that Yah will abandon them because this white supremacist system is preventing them from getting a passport or having the finances to leave? Another important fact is that they didn’t just sit around Egypt praying and waiting for the Pharaoh to let them go, ultimately, it was TMH who softened his heart and freed them but until that happened they were petitioning consistently “LET MY PEOPLE GO” and the Egyptians suffered from the plagues as a result of their refusal to submit.
It almost sounds like you are taking two sides of the argument, in the beginning you say we need to “come out of Babylon” and it’s a blessing that Akon is opening our eyes then by the end you’re saying “ we wait on the Lord and put our trust in him”. Which one is it?
I am most definitely putting my trust in the Lord and waiting on him. While I wait here in America, I’ll keep my knee on the neck of white supremacy and avoid all phonies, false prophets, cowards and those who seek to distract me. I pray that we continue to gain greater understanding and grow in love for one another whether we stand in agreement or not. I believe we can all agree that it is our desire for the will of The Most High Yah to be done. May his kingdom come quickly. Shalom.

I was not arguing both sides. What I meant was we need to come out of Babylon both spiritually and physically. Of course we wait on the most high to take us out if that is his desire but while we are here we need to come out of this beasts system and be renewed in our minds. As of the other things, we can just agree to disagree on this topic.0

Well I suppose we can rest on the agreement that our deliverance comes from The Most High. This post was about Akon city and my opinion of that is unchanged. No agreement is necessary.0

Akon has borrowed more than one billion dollars from chinese investors.
so you really think this is for the benefit for the africans?
they are already in debt with the chinese investors.
it looks like a pagan city to me to be honest. they even have the one eye in his name logo
Don’t believe this must be good just because akon is a black man
The blacks will do all the works and the chinese will take all the money
i must agree with tracey H
