I totally agree with you. I’ve never studied my black history like I should, and was one of those people who believed that it didn’t take all that. I was a registered republican and pro Trump supporter. I graduated from Ouachita Baptist University and learned scripture from a Euro-centric perspective. I’m currently military and would celebrate the 4th of July like my people got our independence on that day. I have been saved for over 20 years and love Jesus Christ with all my heart and just didn’t give value to my black History. When I started studying black history along with looking at the Bible from a new lens my perspective changed. I love our people so much and want to support us in any way I can. I learned that I have to guard my heart toward disliking gentiles because of all the things they have done to us, as I continue to learn new things. It broke my heart when I was finally awakened to this truth. When I read the Bible now I see us and start to truly see Y’shua love for us. That of all the nations he could have chose, he chose us! So I’m having to unlearn what I learned for 20 years with new lenses. IT IS A BALANCED WALK!!!!!
