As far as Cornelius here is the proof he was an Israelite.

But if you look at the Greek word for Nation used here “allophulos”
It is a compound word from “Allos” meaning Different or Another and “phule” meaning tribe/ clan. It states that in the NT it refers to a person from the tribe of Jacob.
So Peter is saying “It is unlawful for me as a Jew (S.Kingdom) to go unto one from another tribe (N.Kingdom).”
